Mabe y Santi

Hello everybody! Espero que aunque la mayoría estéis de vacaciones, nos llevéis en vuestros dispositivos móviles, sean cuales sean, y no os perdáis la entrada de hoy, porque me hace especial ilusión.
Hello everybody! I know most of you are already on holiday, but I hope we go with you on your devices, whichever they are, and don't miss today's post, because it's quite special for me. 

Ya sabéis que me encanta hablaros de marcas nuevas y descubriros a gente molona, así que hoy os traigo a Belén y Santi. Podéis pensar que se trata de una pareja súper molona, pero no lo son, o bueno sí...
You know how I like talking about new brands and show you new cool people, so that's way I introduce Mabe y Santi today. You may think they are a super cool couple, but they're not, well not exactly...

Belén estudió bellas artes, es interiorista y en sus ratos libres diseña joyas handmade.
Santi es su gato y su fuente de inspiración.
Belén studied arts, she's an interior designer and designs handmade jewellery in her free time. 
Santi is her cat and source of inspiration. 

Todo comenzó como una afición al DIY y al handmade, pero poco a poco empezó a recibir  encargos por parte de amigas y compañeras,  y así surgió lo que hoy es la firma Mabe ySanti, que lleva el nombre con el que la conocen sus allegados y su gato, al que adora.  

It all began as a DIY hobby but she started receiving orders from friends and collegues and the brand Mabe y Santi appeared. The name refers to herself (that's how her friends calls her). 

"Cada creación es una pieza totalmente única, personalizadas y hecha a mano, que recrea los animales de juguete con los que todos hemos jugado alguna vez; a través de ellos, busco expresar una mezcla entre la nostalgia infantil con nuevas versiones cromáticas y las tendencias que actualmente destacan en el mundo de la bisutería."

Cool summer drinks

La coca-cola nos gusta a todos, vale.

Kolonaki Madrid

Hace mucho tiempo que quiero enseñaros esta marca. 

Hoy por fin llega Kolonaki Madrid a Socks in Bed.  

Today is finally the turn for Kolonaki Madrid at Socks in Bed. 

Teresa y Paloma tenían el mismo problema que cualquiera de nosotras. Cuando iban a buscar un vestido para boda, nunca encontraban el que querían, el que habían imaginado. 

Así que un día dejaron de imaginar y se pusieron a diseñar. 

Teresa and Paloma had the same problem as any of us. It was always difficult to find a dress for a wedding. They never found what they wanted, what they have imagined, so one day, they stopped imagining and started designing. 

Al principio, vendían a amigas y conocidas pero se decidieron (¡y gracias!) hace un año a montar la tienda online, pensando en una chica Kolonaki que sigue las tendencias, pero que busca la calidad y sobre todo la diferencia. 

They started selling to friends and family but finally decided (thank God!) to open the online store, thinking of the Kolonaki girl. 

A girl who cares about trends, but looks for quality and something different.

Lo que adoro de este tipo de marcas son la historia que llevan detrás. Ponerme un vestido y saber quién lo creó y por qué. En qué se inspiró y qué quería conseguir. Toda una historia que nunca encontraré en un vestido de Zara (por mucho que me gusten). 

What I love about this kind of brands is the story behind it. Wearing a dress and know who created it and why. What was the inspiration and what did they want to achieve? A whole story I'll never find on a Zara dress (as much as I like them).

Last weeks

Las últimas semanas han sido bastante moviditas y esa ha sido la razón de haber estado tan ausente.
Last weeks have been really busy and that's the reason for being absent for so long. 

Los que me conocéis (o sea, la mayoría de los que me leéis :P) o me seguís en Instagram sabéis que mi primer sobri (y ahijado) nació el día 13 de junio. Fue un día precioso que no se me olvidará nunca.
Those who know me (most of the readers...:P) or follow me on Instagram know that my first nephew was born on the 13th of June. It was a beautiful day I'll never forget. 



Pude pasar varios días en Sevilla, en casa y a la vuelta... mudanza!! Se termina una etapa estupenda en Madrid para empezar otra igual de buena o mejor en nuevo barrio :D
Este nuevo barrio tiene además un vecino nuevo que me vuelve loca!!
I could spend some days in Seville, at home and then come back... and move!! A wonderful time in Madrid is over to start a new one at a new neighbourhood, where a new neighbour (which I love) has also moved in.  

El pasado sábado fue el bautizo y como no encontraba nada que me emocionara acabé en Zara, donde encontré este mono color fresa que me encanta, la verdad. ¿Qué os parece?
Last Saturday was my nephew's baptism and I chose this pink jumpsuit. Do you like it? 




Pero además de todas estas cosas me ha dado tiempo de bichear la web y traeros unos tesoritos...

Como el blog Trop Rouge. Poco que ver con lo que estamos acostumbrados a ver en los blogs ultimamente. Originalidad, estilo propio y mucha inspiración.

También he encontrado estas dos formas de combinar el peto vaquero, aunque siendo sincera, no voy ni a buscarlo en rebajas porque creo que es la típica prenda que el año que viene no querremos ni ver (de hecho yo ya tuve uno en 2007 y lo dí a la caridad).
I also found this two ways of wearing dungarees, but being honest, I'm not even going to bother myself looking for one at the sales. I thinks it's the kind of item we'll hate next season (I actually had one in 2007 and gave it to charity).

Y para terminar el nuevo modelo de mr.Boho.  Las gafas de sol de las que os hablaba hace unos meses ¡¡y que están teniendo un éxito increíble!! Estas me flipan, pero me sigo quedando con las amarillas de cristales verdes... Si te gustan, en StyleLovely estamos sorteando cinco :)

Inspirational Looks

Parece que ser que el tiempo nos da una tregua y vamos a poder disfrutar de solete y piernas al aire este fin de semana. Si el frío te ha dejado la mente en blanco, toma nota de algunos looks (no demasiado veraniegos) pero muy apropiados para un finde como este.

It seems the weather is getting quite better (finally!!) and we can enjoy sun and bare legs this weekend. If cold has left you inspiration-less, check out some (not too summerly) looks, but very appropiate for a weekend like this one. 

Instagram Discoveries

Cuando os conté la historia de Lucía Be ya os anuncié las alegrías que me estaba dando Instagram. Es verdad que ella me ha eclipsado como ninguna otra marca, pero hay otras que he conocido a través de esta red social y que hoy quiero compartir con vosotros.
When I told you about Lucía Be I said how happy I was with Instagram. Apart from her, I got to know some others that I want to share with you. 

Las tres son marcas pequeñas, que están empezando y se diferencian de las marcas más comerciales por la pasión y las ganas que emplean en transmitirnos sus productos.
They are all small brands, just beginners and they have an unusual passion that differenciate them from more comercial brands. 

Quisiera empezar por Biombo 13. Esta chica no lleva ni un año vendiendo sus preciosas camisas y ya tiene un gran elenco de seguidoras incondicionales en las redes; seguidoras que la apoyan en sus momentos de flaqueza y alegría, todo lo comparte con ellas y tal vez ese sea su secreto. Convierte a sus clientas en amigas y las implica de tal forma que todas nos sentimos un poco biombas :)
I'd like to start with Biombo13.  This gils has been selling her shirts for less than a year and she already has thousends of followers that support her no matter what. She shares absolutely everything with them, which may be her secret. She becomes friends with her clients and involve them to a point that all of us feel a bit biomba.

La segunda marca que os traigo se llama Oui petit. Se han especializado en la última tendencia en complementos, los anillos finitos, a unos precios muy muy buenos y con un gusto exquisito. Cierto es que también tienes colgantes y pulseras, pero los anillos son, sin duda, la especialidad de la casa. Podéis visitar su web para  ver los modelos tan monos que tienen ;)
The second brand is Oui petit. Their speciality is thin rings last trend with wonderful prices. You can also find bracelets and necklaces, but rings are, with no doubt, their thing.

Makedoonia es la última y más divertida de las tres. Sus complementos de colores vivos animan hasta el más gris de los Instagrams... Tengo que decir que la conocí por Facebook y que están empezando en Instagram, pero una vuelta por su web merece realmente la pena... ¡es preciosa!
Makedoonia is the last and funniest of the brands. It's vivid complements makes anybody happy. I actually got to know them via Facebook because they've just started on Instagram. Anyway checking out their web is absolutely worth it.. it's so beautiful!

¡Muy buenos días de Domingo a todos! Hoy he amanecido con una grata sorpresa :)

Premio Mujer It - Mujer hoy

Igual es una osadía por mi parte, pero me propusieron presentar mi blog a los premios Mujer It que organiza la revista Mujer hoy y me pareció una buena idea.

I may be a little bit daring, but I was suggested to present my blog to It Women Awards from Mujer Hoy magazine I found it a great idea.

Birthday Party
